It is generally recommended within the industry to have your piano tuned at least 2 times a year. A piano is a living breathing instrument and outside temperature changes will affect the “pitch” of the piano. In essence a piano should be maintained at a consistent humidity level, 43-46%. Ask us about a Damp-Chaser System, and how it may benefit your piano.
Please consider if your piano has not been tuned in a long while, a piano tuner may be required to give it a “pitch raise” as well as additional tunings so that it may become stable.
Most of the Piano Manufacturers, will recommend,
Steinway & Sons
“no matter how expertly a piano is tuned, atmospheric variations and the nature of the piano`s construction conspire to bring it off pitch
Yamaha
“a piano should be tuned at least twice a year”
Baldwin Piano
“After the first year a piano should be tuned at least twice a year”
